European Population Conference 1987

This first European Population Conference (EPC 1987) was jointly organized by the European Association for Population studies (EAPS), the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) and a Finnish Consortium (FINNCO) comprising the Finnish Demographic Society, the Finnish Population and Family Welfare Federation Väestöliitto and its Population Research Institute and the Central Statistical Office of Finland.

EPC 1987 convened in Jyväskylä, Finland from 10-15 June 1987.

Some 350 participants discussed European population issues. The scientific program included 7 plenary sessions and a total of 25 simultaneous sessions.The papers of the plenary sessions were published by the Central Statistical Office of Finland in 1987:
