The elections for a new EAPS Council will be held in May 2020. To prepare this, the EAPS Nominating Committee (Zsolt Speder chair, Francesco Billari, Irena Kotowska, Gerda Neyer and Gilles Pison), has selected a list of candidates. To reach a balanced slate of candidates reflecting the diversity of the EAPS membership, the Nominating Committee has taken various criteria into account, including the professional background, gender and region of the candidates, but also the need for both change as well as continuity in the Council.  

The list of nominations for the 2020 EAPS Council elections is as follows:

• for Vice-President : Arnstein Aassve and Hill Kulu
• for Secretary-General/Treasurer: Clara Cortina and Anna Matysiak
• for Council Member (2 positions): Kim Bosmans, Giancarlo Camarda, Sven Drefahl and Nicole Hiekel

Current Vice-President Helga de Valk shall succeed to the office of President.

Following the By-Laws (https://www.eaps.nl/about-eaps/by-laws), members of EAPS have the opportunity to nominate additional candidates. Additional nominations should be made in writing, indicate the specific post for which the candidate is nominated and include the written consent of the nominee. Additional nominations should be supported by at least 5 members.

The deadline for additional nominations is 1 April 2020.

As usual, the Council elections will be conducted by electronic ballot. To join the elections and cast your votes, your EAPS membership should be active by 1 April 2020, so make sure that you have paid your membership dues by that date!

The results of the elections will be communicated at the end of the elections. The new Council will take office during the EAPS General Assembly in Padova, Italy on 25 June 2020.
